On April 21st, there are going to be a bunch of new Shelbys in Hermann MO. They are going to start arriving at 10AM at Hermann Ford. At 1:30PM, they will be going to take pictures outside of Hermann. Anyone is invited to come and see these cars. I talked to the sales huy at the dealer over the weekend and said there will probably be around 25 Shelbys.
For any of you planning on coming from the Washington area or Pacific area, highway 100 is closed down outside Hermann by the concrete plant. The side of the road is giving way and going down the side of the hill. If you do come from that area, take highway Z to highway H and turn right. At the end of H, turn right on to RT 19 and Hermann Ford will be on the left. If you miss highway H, continue on to Z to RT 19 and turn right. Go about 10 miles and Hermann Ford is on the left. I would highly recommend taking 70 as the alternate route.
I am in Oakland, Ca. My guy at Broadway Ford called me and told me he has a White/blue Shelby GT 500 and wanted to give me first dibs..I had to decline but hey anyone reading this give him a call. His name is Peter G. 510-385-4869. He is a good guy, got me my Mustang for just a few hundred over MSRP.

Wow, . . . That seems like a really strange place for this event.
I realize it's pretty well centrally located in the continental United States. But Hermann, Mo. is a bit off the beaten path. I guess if they're the first to think of organizing such an event then that's great.
I hope you get a chance to go 05GTBlue. If you do be sure to take lots of pictures. I'm sure that everyone would love to see them.

This is a gathering of the Shelbys that have already been purchased and the owners are getting together to do a photo shoot. So while they are waiting around for all of them to show up, the dealer said they can borrow their parking lot and display them until they are ready for the shoot. There will be plenty of eye candy to go around. I'll try to take as many pictures as camera can hold. I may have to get another Photobucket account just for those pictures.
That's actually only about 3.5 hours from me. It does seem like a weird location but Hermann is a cool town. Swiss Meats is just south of Hermann on the highway and they were featured on the St. Louis episode of Road Tasted on the Food Network. My wife and I stopped there last Fall on the way back from St. Louis and loaded up our trunk with some awesome brats and German style sausages. It was an extremely beautiful Autumn road trip in our 06 GT.
Oh... back to the Shelbys... fan or not that would be a cool photo op.

Where is Rhineland? If we're not busy that weekend I'll be there with all my camera gear.

It is about 1 mile north and 4 miles west of Hermann. The Shelbys are going to be in Hermann and we have a cruise benefit event in Rhineland on the 29th.

A few hundred over MSRP is a good deal? A good deal is a few hundred over invoice.

At the time, yepper a few hundred over MSRP was a great deal When all dealers were adding 15-20% over MSRP. Of course if we waited, now they're giving them away

If you are coming to the event, they will be laying oil and conder on Rt 94 on the 20th. Take an alternate route if you like. Also, highway 100 is still closed just east of Hermann. Take Z then right on H then right on 19.
