I bought my GT 500 on 16 Oct 08 what a relief! it is everything I had dreamed of... I have yearned for this for a very long time. Sorry it is off topic but I am telling EVERYONE!. This thing is so much fun it will soon be illegal... or probably is now. When I come down from this orbit I need to look at an air intake and deeper (and free-er flowing) exhaust. any thoughts?

My friend totaled my 09 Cali Special yesterday so I said what the hell and bought an 09 500gt. It is white with blue stripes and black detail lines on side. I had to turn it on and off a few times to get the supercharger active. This car is amazing.

All I want to do is drive, nothing else interests me right now except for driving and sex. I haven't been so happy for a long time. I lost my ass on my 2 month old CS trade in. I only got 20,000 for a car that I paid 32,000 for a couple months ago. I didn't care , I had to have it. If the insurance company wrecks it out I'll be in the clear again.

The leather intererior is amazing, I especially like the steering wheel, the metal pedals, and the leather covered dash. I cant figure out how to connect my phone to the nav system but who cares for now.

The engine runs and sounds amazing. I can actually see heat mirages rising from the hood. I would like to add a cold air intake soon. The braking is crisp and fast. When I accelerate I am thrown back in the seat. Everyone stares at this car, especially cops, so you will get a lot of attention.

I love this car, its worth paying 700 a month for. I will post some pictures tomorrow.

I purchased my 09 Vapor grey on Oct 31/08 only got to drive the fool thing 300 klm before the snow came so I haven`t got a clue what it can do yet. Come on spring!!!

I have a new 2008 GT500 with about 3200 miles. I get clutch chatter sometimes when releasing the clutch in first gear with little power. Could this be a clutch issue or just the case that these clutches need to be pedal dumped or engaged quickly and do not like rubbing or getting stick hot is stop and go traffic?

I am also having a cold air induction kit, blower pulley and dyno tune added (525RWHP Total) and my mechanic mentioned that most GT500 owners are changing the axle gear to a 3.73 vs. the stock 3.31 to lessen the clutch stress. This is also done on the GT500KR. Do you think I will have clutch issues if i do not change the axle 3.31 gear? Also with the added horsepower mods, do you think Ford will warranty the clutch?

I also have experienced a faint rear axle harmonic noise at about 3k rpm and the dealer advised that the axle pinion is breaking in, yet sometimes seams to be loader at launch. My mechanic mentioned that it could be a poor alignment issue with the axle gears from the factory. Has anyone experienced this same rear axle noise and do you think it is a problem?

In June of 2005 my wife and I purchased a new Mustang GT. At the time this was the top of the line Mustang. Then at the end of July we traveled to WI and attended the EAA Airventure airshow in Oshkosh. Ford had a large pavilion which we visited and learned that Carol Shelby was there to introduce the new Shelby Mustang. It was torch red with white stripes and we druelled over it for the next three days. Fast forward to yesterday, June 8 ... my wife and I took delivery of a torch red Shelby GT500 with white stripes!!! Our dream car is now in our garage!

I've seen a number of GT500s here in SW Florida. On Saturday night in Ft. Myers I saw an impersonator. It was a black convertible with the GT500 stripes but the wrong spoiler. It had after market wheels and a SVT badge. Some people say this is the greatest kind of flattery.

I finally picked up my 2010 Kona Blue and silver striped GT500 a couple months ago. Love it! However, there is a problem, I also have a couple other coupes, an (old school) 2006 Saleen SC281 and a 2009 Dodge Chally SRT8 (I know, I know) with a ProCharger and the new car in the driveway (the Shelby) is the slowest. Now we can't have that. That 3.4 Whipple Crusher is mine!
