Thanks stlwagon, I wondered if we would grow a forum, just for those poor souls who have the GT500. I pray for them everyday.

It must be terrible having a car that looks that cool and goes that fast.

"It's as ugly as it is slow."

Sometimes it takes people a while to work that one out

Maybe we should call this category..."I wish I had a GT500"

Maybe one day... I'll be posting in here (Looks around at the high arching gold walls with beautiful Shelby's parked all over the place) ... one day.

I hope to see this section of the forum take off. I would love to see some nice interior/exterior/underhood pictures of the GT500

My friend has one, but he lives off Cape. He'll be down this summer. I've seen 2 here in Mass. and saw 3 down in Ft Lauderdale. Only 1 was a vert.

Just had a JLT KAI with tune and 2.6 blower pulley put on my GT500. Don't have the dyno numbers in front of me, but I know it had 505 hp and 502 ft/lbs of torque at the rearend. Probably 580 at the flywheel. When I'm able to save up another $500 - $700, I'm going to put on an 2.5" axle-back exhaust to make it sound as mean as possible. I want to know what hardcore mustang enthusiasts prefer.
My experience driving it has been pretty cool for the most part. I've had it since November and have about 5,400 miles on it. I'm using it as an everyday driver. I could care less about what it's worth in 40 years, I like to live for the moment. It gets alot of looks when I'm driving down the highway. Occasionally, I have a passerby call me a fag or something like that, oh well. Its a real cool car just to cruise in. I know its too heavy to be sick fast, but I would like to someday put on a KB 2.8 with a double shot of NO. With some suspension and traction upgrades I'd like to see just for sh$ts and giggles what it would do in the quarter mile. It would weight a little over 4,000 lbs with driver (hogzilla). I hope some other owners or tech junkies will visit this forum and offer feedback. If you're going to tell me how bad the GT500 is or that I'm an idiot for spending 60k on a slow ass car, do it on another thread. I got the car because I love mustangs, all I've ever driven, and wanted to own a GT500, period. I'll get some pics on here this week.

I am lucky enough and maybe foolish enough (dealer mark-up) to own a GT500. The one problem, and it's not a big one, is the gas tank is not venting properly, anyone out there know of this? The dealer told me to bring it in but that makes me antsy.
