Had to stop at the dealer where I bought 07 GT to get a spare key programed. They had an 07 Shelby GT on the showroom floor. Looked at their sticker price and almost had to call a paramedic! 58k and change! Mind you this wasn't a GT 500, just a GT. I've seen GT 500's going for 60k, but seems a little crazy to pay that much for a Mustang GT w/a FRPP perf pack and handling pack, even though it has a Shelby badge on it. Just my opinion.

Saw one in the dealership by me. The sticker was something like $34K. They had $45k written on the windshield. It sold for $45K in 2 days. I've seen a couple online going for $39k. Can't imagine anyone paying $58k. That would be insane.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
ford marks up the special edition mustangs far too much to try and make up for all of the money that they have been losing as of late. just wait, the price will come down soon
I stopped by a Ford dealership that I regularly visit get some things and guess what I saw on the showroom floor...
A white Shelby GT with silver Stripes and a white Shelby GT500 with blue stripes. Price for the GT500... $62,000. Price for the Shelby GT...$57,000. So not worth it. The Shelby GT didn't feel like it was worth $57,000 when sitting inside of it, and the outside sure as heck didn't look like it was worth $57,000.
I think Ford is relying too much on the "loyalist will buy anything" mentality. As I said previously, I would much rather put that kind of money into my v6 to make it fast or if I had the dough, I'd rather put it in my GT if I had one. Paying that much for Shelby's name just isn't worth it in my opinion.
Saw two GT500's at local dealer(waldorf Ford).Msrp was 45,000 and 46,000 plus markup was 30,000.They can keep them as far as I'm concerned.Like mine better anyway.

I would never buy anything from them. $75k for a Shelby?? Good luck with that
Seems like the only people that would buy those at that prices are either blindly loyal to Ford or have a ton of money and don't know any better. You could buy a GT, a bunch of parts, and a couple Shelby stickers and bam! You got yourself a Shelby, for probably less than the 'real" thing. I couldn't imagine the possibilites if I could dump $35-40K into my car. I'd have a permanent smile on my face for sure.
Saw a Shelby GT at the dealer couple of weeks ago when getting an oil change. I think they are relying on the hardcore Shelby enthusiast to sell these things with the $10K additional mark up. The service writer said the owner told them not to clean all the grease pen markings off of the windshield because that gave a lot of info as to what bay at the Shelby facility the car was in, etc.
I thought the hood scoope was awful with the rivets showing. To me it looked like some redneck got a rivet gun for his birthday and did a "watch this" on the hood.

stopped by the dealer yesterday and sat in a few cars. But i didn't sit in but looked at, 2 shelby GT's. One black with double stripes, and one white with stripes. They had 39K written next to the invoice. 9K the "Shelby" package was worth. Not worth it IMO
$57000 is way to crazy for just a Shelby GT. GT500 way out of my league. Instead bought myself the retirement gift I could afford. Went for the 427R Roush for under $47000 sticker. Everything already done to it except for the larger brake package.
There is alot of Ford Mustang GT500's here, MSRP is $45K plus $20K dealer market adjustment as they call it.
There is also Shelby Mustangs, they are $8500 Shelby package plus $10K market adjustment to the MSRP of the GT they started with. Yes $18.5K for CAI and tune and suspension upgrades, striping and hoodscoop, and of course the name- SHELBY.
If your a collector they work, but I drive mine and drive them hard.
HMMM... just turbo a new Gt and have jsut as much fun and not worry about the schmo that might hit it.
I was sitting in a red GT 500 at my local dealership and it had
$64,734 on the sticker. I can buy 2 loaded GT's for that price.
I'm sure there's a big difference between sitting in it and driving
it.
