Shelby Supersnake is what Shelby refers to as a "post title" option. That is, you have to purchase and supply your own GT500 to Shelby (in Las Vegas or one of the few other authorized locations they plan on establishing across the USA). The Supersnake package is $28K plus tax, on top of whatever you already paid to get your stock GT500.

Nothing like the dealers ripping off the customers. Its a shame you can't just buy the cars direct from Shelby. The dealers are getting as bad as Barret Jackson.

Sometime ago I went online and I swear I saw $29,500
I mentioned online at another forum I saw the price posted at $29,500. Of course, then I received another message, "when & where is this posted"? So, I looked in my favorites link, and sure enough, I labled it SuperSnake with $29,500. It links right to where it was but with no price! So, did I dream it, or what???
Since then, I have been told by a dealer, that he believes they are going to limit the number to one per dealer that has sold a GT500. This is in response to the overwhelming response online and the shear number of people wanting the SuperSnake package conversion. Supposedly they are having parts quality issues.
I suspect now I will get screwed again! I bought the Convertible GT500, wanting to have the rarest of the rare, knowing someday, this baby would be worth a ton. And, now, it will be left to the dealers to play games with where your name on the list is, by how much money you give the dealer!
PLUS, now I understand they will not be doing any convertibles. I sure hope all this is bad information and just wrong! Or, I will have spent a ton of money and will not end up with what I originally intended to own! I knew I should have added a note "subject to SuperSnake package approval" on purchase. Of course that would not hold water since I took delivery anyway.
You know, it's just my luck--it seems like: "If I touch it, it gets fubar'd all up!!!

Here is a link to another info site with the price information. As far as the dealers they having nothing to do with the Super Snake (I guess unless they personally order one) as they are done at the Shelby factory.

It's 27,995 from Shelby to upgrade to 605hp and 31,995 to upgrade to 725hp. They will be doing verts as they are doing the verts as we speak only as 605hp though. They are still taking orders far from being sold out. Waiting on some parts for the 725hp cars before starting production on those.:frustra ted:
