First of all, many of the great musclecars of the older era had various accent stripes, but so few of today's cars do. I know there are those who would never order anything other than black on black (or triple black for a convertible), and would order their Shelby GT500 in black with all stripes deleted. This takes away from the panache of the GT500. So for this thread please specify body and stripe colors!
Your possible choices:
torch red with white stripes ('07 and '08) - very pretty
torch red with satin silver stripes ('07 and '08) - not so good
torch red with black stripes ('08 only) - totally cool
black with white stripes ('07 and '08) - fairly nice
black with tungsten stripes ('07 only) - really sharp
black with alloy stripes ('08 only) - not enough contrast
black with red stripes (limited production '07 only) - very sharp
white with vista blue stripes ('07 and '08) - traditional
white with tungsten stripes ('07 only) - fairly nice
white with black stripes ('08 only) - too plain
white with alloy stripes ('08 only) - fairly nice
white with red stripes (limited production '07 only) - not quite right
vista blue with white stripes ('07 and '08) - very pretty
vista blue with tungsten stripes ('07 only) - kinda cool
tungsten grey with satin silver stripes ('07 only) - very sharp
vapor silver with black stripes ('08 only) - kinda cool
grabber orange with white stripes ('07 and '08) - fairly nice
grabber orange with tungsten stripes ('07 only) - kinda cool
grabber orange with black stripes ('08 only) - very cool
alloy with satin silver stripes ('07 and '08) - kinda cool
alloy with tungsten stripes ('07 only) - very classy
For those of you who don't know, vapor silver is a lighter shade of mineral grey (both have metallics that show gold highlights in sunlight).
I have already voted with my wallet for my color combination: torch red with black stripes 2008 GT500 coupe to be built next week.
I have always liked best the traditional white with vista blue stripes.

I love grabber orange on my gt but for a shelby Iwould have to go traditional white with blue stripes looks so badd ass. But then again so does grabber wit hthe black stripes.
i personally would either get the white with vista stripes or the torch red with white stripes. I would probably go with the torch red since red is just too cool to pass up
got my 08 white/vista blue-lovin it today.only other possible combo could have been vapor/blk or grabber/blk-you know what there all good on this fine piece of machinery.
I've got an '08 GT-500C. It's Vapor w/Black Stripes. Couple of pics in the Gallery under 8ballnut. I thought it was a pretty classy combination. Check it out and see what you think.
At least one dealer "Town 'N Country Ford" in Nashville was building Shelby GT500 clones which had GT500C on them. Other than that, I am not familiar with a GT500C model. Is yours one of the clones? It looks very nice regardless. And vapor with black is a nice combination on any '08 Mustang.
