2008 Mustang GT500 Has Brembo Brakes Up Front, But Why Stock Brakes On The Rear?
I dont know about you guys or not, but i kinda thought this was halfassed.. The other day i was at my dealership were i bought my 06 GT.. and they had 3 07-08 Shelby GT500's.. i noticed that the front brakes were brembo, but the rear brakes were stock.. whats up with that?? i know like 70 percent of braking is done in the front, but for a 45-50k car, i would hope they have the upgraded rear brakes..
Other than that- it was pretty badass sittin in 1 of um and messin w/ the clutch n stick.. talk about stiff- im assuming its got stage 2 clutch in it??

Your right 70-80% of braking comes from the front due to that alot of heat is made so better brakes will work better in that environment. Since the rears don't have to work as hard 30-40% you don't need very good ones to do their job. IMO

yupp, and thats why im saving up to Supercharge mine(saleen blower).. id rather hook up a GT and make it a sleeper then pay the dealership for a car like the Shelby GT500's that are kinda over priced..
Plus i think its gotta do with the whole fun factor of buying the mods for your car and doing it yourself.. well depending on the mods..

and all there shelby gt500s were sold to ONE family... Dad and uncle drove down from NJ w/ trucks/trailers.. drove the trucks back... then the son saw how badass the car was and called up and asked to see if they didnt sell it.. and he said.. ill be there later on in the week w/ the truck n trailer.. n gave a downpayment..
Saw him pick it up 2day.. hah.. rich people suck!!
