Thanks for the response and pm. I going to take Yours and Brians (hotpart) advice and try the LCA's first. The hop is not too bad, but compared to my last car, an 03 Mach1, it's noticable. I could launch the Mach hard without a trace.

I have a friend who's a Ford tech, so I'm good on installs.

Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

It have been long enough now to say for sure that the UCA and LCA have solved the problem with the wheel hop and I have gotten used to the harsher ride. On smooth surfaces I feel no difference at all...Except for "NO More Hopping" on hard launches!

New Nitto 555 tires (they come in the 255/18 and 285/18's) in a couple of weeks, not because they will help the rougher ride (thanks for the info GT500Girl) but because now the rears are almost down to the wear bars. Less than a 1000th to go. Was going to use that money for a SCT Xcal unit and new air intake but tires come first. Besides none of the new air intakes are CARB approved in CA.

Default Suspension-XCAL3-Tires update

Put in the XCAL3 tune last week and I now have better gas mileage (21mpg for 1 tank full), smoother acceleration and better throttle response. However, even with the suspension changes I experienced a little wheel hop on Friday...dropping to 3rd at 55 to pass someone, while going uphill! But it could have just been a loss of traction due to worn tires. On the plus side... The pass was highly successful!

New tires ordered on Friday. Decided to go with the BFG g-Force™ T/A® KDW's. I will report on them when I get them installed in a week or 2.
