Got a call today, the replacement tranny is in.

New tranny is in and is working fine. Shifting is much smoother and the clutch pedal is much easier to push in.
Not sure what that means.....couldn't get any 411 out of the service manager. I do know the part # on the invoice ( no charge of course) was the same as the core going back. Maybe Tremac came up with a fix for the existing unit.
So as far as I can tell "it's all good under the hood".

That's awsome Doug! Yeh..the clutch is much easier. Well I talked to the SVT tech and he says that is the tranny that they put in my car. I must have been the guinea pig for it! lol What is the part number so I can check it with mine?

Yeh, I think this is what they put in the Vette and many other HP monsters.

As long as you have the newest replacement I think you'll be fine.

I am looking at a used one, does anyone have any stampings on the better one? It is out of a GT500KR. I read on Team Shelby that some of the problems are from the clutch, some from the trans, maybe the clutch locking up on the input shaft splines, no one really had the answer.
