I own a couple of mustangs but I am looking at a 1977, 302,manual tanrsmission. The guy says its a real cobra. He has all the cobra stuff for it but its about half apart. Can you tell from the vin#? I only found basic info on regular vin searches. any help would be greatly appreciated..

The only way to tell would be to decode the options tag (sometimes called a buck tag) that will either be in the doorjamb or mounted to the radiator support (sometimes underneath it).
