geez, that really sucks man, sorry to hear that... The good news is, that there's always at least one Mustang II on Ebay... maybe a better one will come up?
Same thing happened to me when I bid on a 1976 Mercury Capri Rallye Cat, the guy advertised as "clear title" and when I won he said that he didn't have one, I wasn't going to drive to Seattle to get a car without a title.
