How hard are they to find?

Thought I'd see if I was looking for hens teeth before I tried too hard. Hopfully I get lucky and one of ya'll fine peoples have one collecting dust on a shelf somwhere

Well, I've got one from a '74 coupe. It's pretty rusty and I couldn't guarantee that it still works, but if you want it it's yours for the price of shipping.

when i pulled mine out it completely disintergrated(the housing on the variable reistor fell off, i hadta fish it out of the tank). how rust is prittie rusty? pitted ? holes?

They are like gold if you can find a working one. No one yet repros any of them and there are several depending on your year and engine. I know a 1974 one isn't right but may be able to be made to work possibly. Here's a link to the different ones Ford used in the mustang iis-
