Default 1978 Mustang 2 for my first restoration

I am new to restoration in fact this will be my first. I am looking for anyone who would give me any tips on what I should do. My brother, an engineer for Ford, said I could either keep the 4 cyl that is in it and install a turbo-charger or put in a 302. I guess I am looking for any resources and help.

Hello,
It all depands on what you want to do with the car. I would build a 347 stroker, more power than the 302 for not much more money. Will the car be a street car or street strip car?

I'd probably see it as a street rather than strip car.

hold off for now, for gas reasons, but i would go with a 302 very strong and dependible, throw on a 5.0 HO fuel injection system pull 300 Hp easy
