If your wiring is in real good shape they should be OK but they do draw alot more power and thus can heat up wires. I have seen burnt out voltage regulators and alternators on some older cars trying to use these types of bulbs, especially when lit for long drives.

i had a set of projectors in my 86 F150 for a few months and had no problems until the low beam burnt out.i replaced them with regular ones,it was easier and cheaper but those projectors sure make good light.

Yeah they do I have had them in several cars, BUT there is a big difference in the wiring of an 86 Ford truck and a Mustang II. I am sure the alternator, regulator and wiring were much heavier duty.
