Hello all, I'm new here and am looking for some wheels for my Mustang ll based Gazelle. I need a pair of chrome modular or even white spoke wheels that fit the 4 on 4.25 Ford pattern. The finish isn't important because I have period wire wheel covers for them. I can't seem to find any on the web anywhere. I have Ford factory 4 on 4.25 steel rims now but the hubcap retaining ring interferes with the wire cap. Any help with a wheel maker(Cragar, etc.) that still makes a 14" would be most appreicated. Thanks. Tom
Thanks but yeah, looked on eBay,Tire Rack,Allwheels,etc... These chromes used to be fairly common back in the 4 lug days.....I'll keep looking. ...sigh
Just keep looking, may want to check your local Craigs list as well. I picked up these 14 x 7 aluminum Centerlines last year for $60 for all 4. Fit perfect with no spacers and no rubbing.
Great looking Mustang ll there, stangll! These were and are really great little cars. My Gazelle was built using a 1978 Mustang ll KC that was totalled. It was a shame to not save the VIN tag but who knew. If anyone has any of these wheels, ,condition not inportant, just have to be not bent and hold air. I'd be interested. I need two and they are obsolete and don't seem to be available anywhere at all!
Thanks again.
Tom
I pulled a set off of a 1983 Mercury Capri RS, wheels and tires (14x6 chrome 10-hole steel wheels with decent tires) for $80. They fit beautifully on my II (will be getting drag radials for the pair for the rear for when I take it to the strip, leaving the stock tires on the pair for the front, of course, the 16x7 chrome ponies stay on it for the street).

After doing a bit of surfing, believe it or not, I found NEW wheels just like I needed. 14 X 7, 4 on 4.25 at

Owner's name is Paul Carter. I got two Bart race wheels already on the way. He answered me VERY quickly with a UPS trk# and I should be set up in no time.
Give the place a look. I'm just a satisfied customer, in no way connected to this business.
