More great news about my ongoing Mustang II project!
Today I found a driver's side fender for her!!!
I've been looking for one for months, and Action Auto Recyclers came through for me today with an orange fender from another '74 Stang!
Here's a pic of the rust damage to the current fender, followed by a pic of her replacement.

Here's the new fender... in all irony, it's the same color as my dad's 1976 Mercury Capri II!

actually, the whole car is going to be sprayed in the same color as my '75 Chevy pickup: GM Med. Bahama Blue Metalflake.... it's just a beautiful color that I've always liked, and I've got just enough left to do my II with. (I bought a gallon back when I sprayed the truck)

Man I bet I know exactly where they got that fender from to!
Go over towards belton and theres a yard where they hold a *Belton Swap Meet*. They had the front cut out of one that was that color.
Good to see its all coming together.

Actually, Action Auto had the entire car, major rear-end damage, looked like it had been hit by an 18-wheeler (or something of equal size) but there was no damage from the doors forward, so... I bet I end up getting more of that car over time!

I'd keep my eye on it. If the wreckin yards down there are anything lke the ones here, if hardly anything sells, they crush it. Probably why I have so much crap... It's all future stock to keep my II's runnin!
Speaking of redneck racer, primer queen, check out my '78 CObraII I had on my web page. I drove the "spotted cow" for 4+ years before trading a car trailer for it. He definately got the better deal....

Yeah, I wish they'd sell the whole car to me, but they won't... I'd really love to get it though.
