Greetings from a new member

Hi all;

I just joined this forum today after giving up on the MustangII.net forum. I tried for a month to get registered there to no avail.

I am a new owner of a 1978 Coup that I recently purchased for my wife. Her first car back in the day was a 1977 coup and she had fond memories of it, so for our 20th wedding anniversary I tracked down a 1978 for her. It was the typical “barn find” with only 56,000 original miles.

It has had minor front and rear end damage in the past but was repaired, for the most part. I am working on restoring it to as near as original as possible. Some of the repairs to the front end were only surface repairs, as it looks fine from the outside but with further inspection I found that the radiator core support and the passenger side inner fender are still damaged. The rear end repairs were done much better and are practically unnoticeable; if not for all of the service documentation that came with the car I never would have noticed it.

I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences with all of you.

Cool, welcome to the site. Im currently in Lisbon, Portugal, but will be in the Indy area early next yr. i know there are some II's in Illinois and Indiana, so i started a group on cardomain. chk it out

Welcome! I too tried to Register there but it seems the site is pretty much on Autopilot which is sad really. It's pretty nice here though. We try to share info as much as we can and help where we can as well.

Yea the site moderator got the mustangII.net has been doing a lot of RL work, we all offered to help but no response

Im on almost all day normally, and i know ive offered to help. hope one day he get the help he needs to keep the site goin
