Ok I'm never one for too much brevity but, I currently have the Deluxe Seats from my Bro's 76 Mach 1 in my 78 Mach 1 and they look nice. But as I was going through the interior on the 78 I noticed that when I pulled the Rear Bottom Seat up Carpet wasn't set up for the Split Bottom Seats. I then tried to remember the Seat that was in there before I dropped the Deluxe Seats in. My Bro remembered that it was a 1 Piece Bottom Like 74-77 and I seem to recall that being the case as well. Most documentation I have read states that ALL 78's came with the Split Bottom Rear Seats. I know that I never changed the carpet from the time I took ownership of it in 95. I don't recall the Previous Owner mentioning changing the carpet and seats and he got the car in '90. The Carpet was pretty faded and starting to come apart and showing it's age paired with it being a T-Top car. It also DID have the correct Seat Upholstery Pattern for the Standard Black Interior. So either 1 of 2 things happened Somewhere between 78-90 Someone changed not only the Rear Seat but the Carpet OR it came from the Factory with the Full Back Seat Bottom. I'm just kinda curious did anyone get their 78 with the Full Seat? This is a Mystery for me.

I have had three Mustang II so far. One had a split carpet but the other two had a full one piece. Plus mine came with split seats and the full seats.

Those where all 78s? If so then I feel better.

Mine has a space between each foot well with the middle being carpet on the hump of the tranny/drive shaft tunnel then the seat. Mine folds down though.

My seat fold down also. All rear seat fold down unless its a coupe or there broken.
