a very nice manager gave me her and her husbands non running mustang II and told me that it was an electrical short. it needs all hoses and an alternator, upper and lower water outlets and spark plugs and wires. could anyone help me as far as parts go? im hoping to gut it and make it into a custom and maybe drop a v8 into it in the future, as of now im just trying to get it running. any tips, tricks, or advice is welcome. feel free to email me any engine dimensions you have on the v6 model.

Welcome to the site. Just go to autozone and tell them what you have and they will get you what you need.

V-6= 2.8 171ci. around 105-120 horse, solid lifter, valve adjustment measurements should be on a sticker on the valve cover, and they are adjusted warm i believe .014 and .016 are the adjustments but not positive anymore, been over 20 yrs since i adjusted any. intake should be the .014 but yes autozone or advanced auto parts can get ya most of the parts ya need. I have some in storage but wont have access to em till the summer. my email is 74stang@gmail.com if ya got more questions feel free to email me
