Default Looking for some 13 or 14 inch wheels

As my 78 sits now I have some outdated AR's on it and they aren't in the best shape. Finding 13 inch tires in the proper size is impossible since production has stopped. Does anyone know of a site or someone who has some wheels that would fit a II. Thanks. Saw some really cool 4 spoke 13 inch Cragars on a car at a show but good luck finding them.

American Racing makes the outlaw II and one other that will fit the II. Jegs carries the outlaw II. Not to many to choose from unless you convert to 5 lug.

13's are OK if you are going for stock or restored look but as you say 13" tires are getting harder to find and in my opinion just look too small. There are 14" wheels out there with 4 lug patterns that look good on a II but even 14" tires are getting limited in size. I now think 15's are the way to go and with the aluminum adapters converting 4 to 5 lug, just about any wheel can be made to fit the II. Tire choices in 15's are unlimited so the correct look can be had by doing your homework on backspacing and wheel width. A nice set of Cragar 5 spoke 15's would look awsome on the II or you could stager and put 14's on front and 15's on rear.

I would go for 15's but with so little power I'd be dragging more weight around and getting even worse acceleration than I already do. Plus I don't know how large I could go before I would get tire rub. I've heard a lot of bad things about those adapters and how they unloosen the lugs after about a week. Also since I don't own the car my mom wants it to stay "stock". To bad I can't survive with only 90 horsepower.

OK as far as the adapters go most sold through reputable companies will outlast the car and never loosen up. They use them on trucks with no problems.
As far as tire size, you could go with a light weight 14" and if you do not go crazy on the tire width and stay around the same height you will noy loose performance or gain weight. My 14's are only 2 inches taller than stock in the back but my aluminum wheels were lighter than the stock steel 13" rims.

If it's not to much of a hassle can you give me a good company to buy the adapters from? Also what about wheels backspacing and the issues that could bring me?

If you go with the Ansen Sprints for 127.50 a peice u dont need Spacers/adapters, they bolt right on and u go from there.
