Default 1976 Mustang II-Interior

Hello all,

I am new to the board and also a 1st time Mustang owner. I have a 1976 Mustang II Coupe. I was wondering if the seats both front and rear are interchangeable with any other year? I have realized rather quickly that parts are hard to find for these cars. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site. The 74 - 78 are interchangable. Have seen the 69 and 70 seats in them also, just changed the brackets.

Hi and welcome to the fourm. Depending on what parts you are looking for they can be hard to fine, but they can be found. Try doing a search on ebay using mustang ii. One other site that can be helpful is mustangii.net

You can also use fox body seats 79-93 just have to change the seat rails. www.mustangii.net has a tech article on how to do it. Its pretty easy.

welcome to the site for my seats i used some jeep seats my father in law found. don't know what type of jeep they came out of but they worked after i changed the brackets. As far as what else interchanges, i am not sure. One thing I learned quickly is you have to learn how to adapt other parts to our cars because just like you said parts are hard to find. Good luck with your II
