Default 1974 Grill surround on later Mustang II's

Ok so I saw a 1974 and love the grills/ grill surrounds! Now will the 74's surround fit on 75+ years? I like the extended part on top, to me kinda looks more muscle car. . .

Quick answer for you is NO. The 1975 and up had to have their grill, radiator support ect moved forward to fit a V8 in the engine compartment. But with enough modification and fab sure it would be possible. But seriously park yours beside a 1974 and lift the hoods and you will see a world of diffrence. I do agree though the 74 front end is MUCH better looking to bad they couldn't figure a way to keep that when they put the v8 in it.

If you don't mind running hood pins, its not difficult.

I swapped a 74 header panel and hood onto my King Cobra in an easy afternoon with a few "beers"

You will need to re-drill a pair of mounting holes at the top of the fenders, remove the hood primary and secondary latches (and the grille supports behind them), and space the top of the rad back to clear the underside of the hood (not an issue for me, since I run an electric fan)

Other than that, its no different from swappingon any other headerpanel, but looks WAY better
