Default Problems with my 78 ghia II

To start with it has an exhaust leak
It stalls when backing out and putting in drive... and stalled on me a couple times pulling left on to a road. Possably carborator?
Gas tank leaks wen above half full
Needs a new speedometer cable

This car sat for 14 years and nobody did anything with it those are really all of the main problems with it. If someone can give me links to places to get parts/tell me what they think is wrong that would be great. There were already some people that posted links to websites in the last post i made. Thanks

If anybody knows where to get a center console for it that would be great, i dont like whats in there right now.

I also want to paint it a nice color orange. Saw a picture of one and it looked sweet.

Also if someone can give me like a link to something about cars just so i can get some base knowledge that would be great or some kind of book to buy.

Thanks everyone for your help

adjust the idle.... the gas doesnt work well because it has mor ethanol or somthing like that in the summer. use the adjuster screws and the choke run a little more rich or lean...

Welcome to the site! www.mustangii.net is a great site for info and to link up with fellow II owners. Your carb probably needs a rebuild if the car was started without blowing all of the fuel lines and cleaning the tank. I would say it picked up some dirt.
