Hi, Has anyone got a fix for a sppedometer that is very erratic and at least 10 miles per hour off. It is in a 1978 v6 Mustang II. It has been this way since ive had the car (about 2 years now). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Pull out the speedo driven gear(the part that connects to the cable) and see if it looks like an apple core. Wear in the center can cause this, and you can usually get away with just changing the gear. Count the number of teeth when ordering a new one.
