Depends a LOT on what engine you have, and what (if any) mods have already been done...

But welcome to the site

I have plenty of ideas. But first we need some info about your stang. What motor and trans do you have and what mods if any. Are your intentions to build a street car or a race car and how fast do you want to go. Your budget will also dictate if you can do every thing at once or will this be a step by step as you drive it and save money for the next step.

OK, check this...... pull the motor and trans from a 5.0 mustang and throw that in. they are very cheap for the power and reliability. but if not, lower intake, bigger carb, heads, cams, bore? ..... nice big air filter, exhaust.

OOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhh, before you do any mods..... upgrade to 5 lugs conversion or the studs will snap like plastic.

Wrong. The 295/50R15's on 15x10's I'm running on the Rat Snake are 4 lug, and hold up just fine.

The main reason people convert to 5 lug is for a wider choice of rims, not for the extra nut. Yes, 5 lug is stronger, but its not a critical upgrade.

Yes it did

Makes your tailor work harder, though...

If you're dropping a 671 or Nitrous onto the engine, or getting drastic with the power output, then yeah, going to 5-lug makes all the sense in the world. The thing is, though, that once you get to that point, the strength of the 8" diff becomes marginal anyway.

By summer I should be at about the limit of the 4 lug setup. I'll let you all know if I run into the shredding the lugs like plastic problem

thanks for the advice, well it currently has a new remanufactured engine from surefire, edelbrock performer intake, two barrel motorcraft carburetor, msd 8.5mm wire, KN air filter, and one flowmaster 40 series but going to get h-pipe dual flowmasters,. its my every day car i want more power but not sure what to do next...i was thinking of putting a 4 barrel carburetor but not sure if it will add power, or just waste more gas...what should be my next step?

A four barrel carb is a good Idea, how about putting a limited slip in and some gears? That will wake the car up for sure. Are you running a stock 8"? The hipe pipe and dual exhaust is also a great idea.
