Okay, most Mustang II owners know that car magazines, even Mustang magazines are notorious for ragging on the Mustang II. But, Mustang & Fords is breaking the mold in their "Build Your First Restomod" article in the October 2002 issue. They put the 74-78 Mustang II Hatchback in their list of 22 "Great Restomod Project Picks" within the article. Though I personally prefer notchbacks to the hatchbacks, this is a great breakthough for the often misunderstood Mustang II crowd.

The II is getting more and more attention every day. I just got offered a Ghia that was restored recently including a HO 5.0 and 5 lug 4 wheel discs all around.
Hey, just got the Oct issue of M&F. Yep the IIs are listed again as a great platform for restomod by them. I just wish that M&F would start featuring some IIs. According to their list of what they have featured for the last five years from a few issues back, the IIs only had two features. What a joke....the other mags have at least shown restmoded IIs coverage even though M&F says that their in the forefront of the resto stang movement.
Hey Roadster, I'd bet big money they'd feature yours when it's finished!

thanks for the support of my roadster idea. I started building the thing from a warped idea that came to me years ago. I only hope that the roadster will end up being magazine quality.
I have seen at least four quality restomod IIs out there that M&F hasn't featured but have been in other mags. Other then that I do like the M&F magazines.
Hey roadsterII, would you mind me posting my colored-in version of your roadster sketch to show what mine would look like roadster-ized? I'm seriously considering doing something similar to mine, but I think I'll leave mine 4-seater. I'd be willing to post your original alongside it.
(you can also upload your original to your personal gallery here at AFM)

Well, I downloaded Roadster II's sketch from his 77sleeper's site, then saved it as a .bmp file.
I then proceeded to connect all the little lines that don't quite match up in the computer-rendered version, then I filled in the colors until I had it the way I liked it. I thought it was awesome, I printed it out and put it on my wall I liked it so much (I put the original with it)

man roadsterII tthat is one unique idea when ur done with it i would really like pics of it it should make more than one cover and pull in some show titles
I'm new to the terms regarding the Mustang lingos.
What years are Mustang IIs? (The 70s Mustang? I'm assuming. Since the 60s is where Ford created them.)
SN95s are the platform for Mustangs of the 80s to 2003? 2004?
Sorry fellas, I don't know much about my Mustang.
