HELLO all you II Fans I am new and am in Mustang II heaven...but hope I'm not gonna be in HELL after this project....I always wanted to keep my II orig..it has a 2.8v6 and a c4..its a Ghia......well a guy I know from an annual car show every week made me an offer to sell his 302 c4 tranny for 500 bucks....engine was rebuilt and tranny resealed.....so I figured ok SOLD.....now I need to know how I can get that sucker in.....I would appreciate info......I am gonna put in a bigger cam and get headers....I need to know what I need to do from here...thanks all and happy motoring!!!

I was just asking for tips..not selling anything..maybe my 2.8 and c4 thats got 15,000 miles on it--it was rebuilt......

I swapped my 2.8 for a 347 in my 74 ghia, and that is one of the hardest swaps to do since the 74 engine bay is shorter than other years. What year is your II?

My Mustang II is a 78 GHIA that had a 2.8 and I got ahold of a 79 302 out of a granada. The headers were a tight fit and the starter went..so the engine had to come out again to change the starter. The headers don't quite clear the double hump x-member so that may have to be modified...they were headman headders that were suppost to fit. I got a flamming river manual rack put in but then the steering shaft didn't link up right and they don't make one---so its off tot he hot rod shop...that was suppost to be esier than using P/S...The AC is something I like to put back in the car...so if anyone has any v8 AC stuff let me know...I have everything for a v6 AC hook up.
