At one point I had 215/70/R15s on my II when I was running 15" turbines off of a fox, they filled the rear wheelwells to the max (I had about 1/4"-1" clearance all around at the limits of travel, so it was a pretty tight fit, but I got 'em on there. Now I'm running 225/55/16s, not quite as filling, but a better overall look (also better looking wheels, 16x7 chrome ponies! lol)

Both tires would only be like 7-8" wide overall...

Only way I think you could get anything much wider than what you're already running would be to roll or cut the fenders, or go all the way to tubs.

I am glad I read this. I went to another site and they claimed that the biggest you could go was a 14 inch rim with 225/60s...I wanted to go bigger because it is easier to find. I think I have stock 13s or 14s...I dont know..Ill be lookin on ebay for rims.

i understand what you're going through. i'm also looking for tires. A friend of mine has a mustang ii with with 245/60/14's on the back cuz he had trouble hooking up with his 351w thats bored out. they fit fine. i don't think he had to do any kind of cutting with his but if you want to be safe you can go with the 235/60/14 or 15 to get your fatness.
