You can tell by looking at the buck tag on the radiator support, there should be a CB on it. Or, the less precise way, because it could be a clone, is if it has a hood scoop, snake decals, and a rear spoiler.
Also, im pretty sure that the Cobras have the brushed aluminum interior gauge bezel, the special wheels, NOT the honeycomb, or covers.

The basic things to look for are pretty much said cobra II stripes door panels which say cobra II with brushed alluminum trim. Also the Cobra II package is an apearance package so its not like the original mustangs with specific vins but one thing the cobras have is a stamping on the inside of the door by all the information or its a sticker of some sort to my understanding.
