Default Mustang II cowl induction hood

Do anyone know where I can get a custom cowl induction hood with the shaker hole cut out? It can be either metal or fiberglass.

cowl induction with a shaker hood scoop? I don't understand....Harry Glass makes a fiberglass hood that covers the cowl area but no scoop, just flat.

Since I put the 351C in the distrubutor want let the hood close all of the way. Plus I am running a shaker setup. I will need a cowl indiction with at least 2in of clearance.

Only thing i can think of is to get an aftermarket fox hood and a good body man to kind of graft it onto your current hood. I'm a bit confused too though, you want a cowl hood and then cut a hole in it for the shaker setup???

Remember that the late 60's and early 70's came with the 351C shaker setup where the air cleaner was the scoop and it came throught the hood. The 03 and 04 MACH I also came with them. The powertrain that I am running came from a 71 Mustang with the 351CJ and 4 speed toploader. But I think I found a answer. I just pick up a SVO blackwidow hood that I am going to graft to my hood.

It's almost like that but it has 2 more air dams on it. Like the Shelby had in the late 70's.

Will do. I am putting the engine back in this weekend. And starting to build a set of custom bumper along with the grafting of the hood. Will post pictures when I finish with the upgrades.

I am using the MSD Billet 8580. But the reason is the I am running a front slump 9 quart oil pan. I had to use 1/2 spacers on top of the motor mounts to clear the rack and pinion.

Oh ok your running mounts that makes more sense to why you have clearance issues then, im running an engine plate and running a 7 quart race pan but my motor sits low

Maybe I will notch my oil pan since I haven't put the engine back in yet.

i really want to see a shaker hood on a mustang II like the mach 1's.

so you are looking for a cowl hood, so you can clear the distributor, and then your gonna cut a hole in it, for the shaker hood scoop? i think it would look better if you got a hood that like, the whole thing is like a cowl, so its like a higher hood. i think thats what the newer mach 1's have, just an all around higher hood with a hole in it for the shaker.

I looked into one of them but the difference in size and contour made it a little hard to get the look I am after. Plus I got a Black Widow SVO hood (fiberglass) for free. While not free. It cost me a oil change and tire rotation.
