Question Wheel Restoration Shops. Anyone know of any good ones?

Does anyone know of a good place to send wheels? I have a king cobra and my rims need some help. I'm located in new jersey.
Thanks,
Bill

I know of two in California. One is more into restoration and refinishing. The other does mostly refinishing. ie: polishing and chroming. I would like to find a place here in New York or Connecticut as well.

Depends on what your wheels need. Unfortunately the ones I know of are on the west coast. Stockton Wheel (look in magazines) and Performance Plus (310-327-8320.) Eric Vaughn in Monrovia, CA (626-358-6413) is unique. He will widen, narrow and/or change the offset on aluminum wheels. Does it for most of the big custom wheel companies. This is all he does and it takes a while to get your wheels back. He is very busy, stacks and stacks of wheels in his shop waiting to be worked on. Here is a picture of some wheels Eric narrowed for me. The fronts were 18X8 and are now 18X3.5. The rears are 17X9 narrowed to 17X5. He does great work and is reasonable. $125 per wheel. Plus he is the only guy I know of doing this. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...1&d=1169694441
