you bought at the right time, they've gone up quite a bit recently. I've seen 'em go for around 20K in that condition at auction.
just baby it at first, the seals etc inside the engine will need to be conditioned. Then you shoud drive it for at least 10-20 miles every month or so. Enough for the engine to get good and warm. You may want to convert to an electronic ignition.
-Oh replace ALL your weatherstripping and seals.
Old cars don't like to sit around. you can't let the seals go bad, or you're going to start running to all kinds of gremlins. -& not from AMC.
One last thing, get a clay bar from meguires or mothers and get all teh contamination from the paint, then do the 4 step process -paint cleaner/conditioner, polish, cleaner wax & finish with a high quality wax to recondition the paint.
