A 351W will fit, but it depends on what engine is currently sitting there.

If you currently have a 302, the swap is no big deal. You'll need Headers, and you'll have to change something on the water pump... something to do with the 351 pump having a long shaft if I remember correctly... I just woke up, I should have all the info this afternoon. Just not thinking too clearly at the moment.

A 3.2 V6? I've never heard of this engine....

Is it a variant of or modified 2.8?

3.8? No such motor as 3.2 U can fit a 351W in, But, U will need either a cast Iron Manifold from a 289 or 302 car, because there small enought to fit. Or. Hooker header sells 351 headers for II. As far as Water pump clearance. Just Leave fan off. And put an Electric in Front of Radiator to push and wire to your fuse block. When U wire it that wat, U can turn your fan on to cool it while the engine is off. Turn the key to ACC.

Mine is like this and works great. 1/2 clearance from waterpump nose to radiator. But works.

I'm doing this same kind of swap into a 77 with an original 302. The motor and tranny is out of a 85 crown vic old police car with a 5.8 HO carb. The tranny is a AOD and is in good working order. I'm asking if anybody has some suggestions, pointers, hints, and cautions in doing this swap. I got the stang with headers on it but Now I know that it might be a tighter fit to make the headers work. I have a buddy that made some headers once so I'm thinking if him and I get together we can make somthing work. Would there be any benifits of using the AOD over the stock C4?

Years ago, John Vermeersch at Total Performance in Mt.Clemens,MI had all kinds of headers and swap kits to put Windsors and Clevelands in Pinto's and Mustang II's. Not sure if they are still around.

I basically have the same question only wondering if it would fit in a 75 hatchback with a 302 currently in it. Need some advise if anybody has any. This is my first resto project.
