I'm doing this same kind of swap into a 77 with an original 302. The motor and
tranny is out of a 85 crown vic old police car with a 5.8 HO carb. The
tranny is a AOD and is in good working order. I'm asking if anybody has some suggestions, pointers, hints, and cautions in doing this swap. I got the
stang with headers on it but Now I know that it might be a tighter fit to make the headers work. I have a buddy that made some headers once so I'm thinking if him and I get together we can make somthing work. Would there be any benifits of using the AOD over the stock C4?
