Default 1976 Mustang II: Need to find someone to begin restoration

Hello!

I am the original owner of a 1976 Mustang II. I would like to drive it again, but it has not been driven in over 15 years. I moved to the east coast from the west coast and unfortunately, I had to leave it in the hands of someone who didn't prepare it for the long sleep.

I now have it with me in the DC area. I know very little about cars, so I need to find someone who can at least do the initial work (getting it running, etc.). Since there are so many people who do not think of the MII as a worthwhile project, I worry about finding the right person/company to help put it back on the road.

So, my question is: Does anyone know of a place in the DC area that could help me?

Everyone tells me to get rid of the car. However, it was my first car and I have quite an emotional attachment to it.

Help?

Thanks,
Suki

Don't worry about finidng someone that cares about the car. A good restoration shop is a good restoration shop. If they are a good shop, then they will treat any car like a Ferrari and complete the restoration as agreed to with the customer for the agreed price.

What you have to determine is how much do you want to invest... a total resto job will probably cost more than what they car will be worth in the near futre. Though, that may not be a reflection of what it is worth to you.
