Red face 1978 Mustang II (Mach 1?) Keep it stock? Or add cosmetics?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking into buying a 1978 Mustang II this weekend - the current owner says that it is a "Mach 1" - but he has Cobra valve covers and said that it is pretty much the same car, just get the emblems for it to make it "look" like a Cobra.

I wanted to put window louvers on the back rear window and the two side windows as well as add the Cobra spoiler to it - I just like the way it looks with those things on it and I was never able to find a real Cobra. I just want the car to LOOK the way I want it to while I'm buzzing around town.

Is this a good idea?

My mother wants tso SLAP me for not keeping it stock! Please leave me feedback or feel FREE to e-mail me! =)

Thanks so much!

Melissa

i would add the louvres and spoiler most definately. i was never one for the looks of a II without the spoiler.

That's exactly how I feel - thanks for your input.

Anyone else?

I had a Stang II with all that, plus side sccops. Looked amazing! kinda brought back the classic mustang look. Plus my saying has always been; "your car, your way." LOL. Happy hot rodding!
