Absolute best bets are junkyards and Ebay.

There is an Ebay seller by the username MustangIImadman that parts unsavable IIs regularly and always has parts for sale on Ebay, he's excellent to deal with, I've bought a car from him (1977 Mercury Capri II) and a pair of Dynomax headers for a Mustang II with a 302... may check his auctions or even contact him directly to see if he has one or knows where you can get one.

I agree with mustangIItogo on the ebay called MustangIImadman. I did bid and win a gas tank for my KC. He listed it as guaranteed to not leak when I got it here and had it installed it did have a small leak. I emailed the seller about it and he reimbursed me the cost to have the tank fixed and the installation charges I incurred without batting an eye. Good luck, Linda

Maybe you have a gas tank. Maybe you think it is all cruddy and want to simply buy a new one. Good luck. I have a 27K Cobra II and my tank was spewing crust into my fuel filters from sitting too long. Drop it and send it to Moyer Fuel Tank Renu - antique gas tank repair restoration, classic car gas tanks GASTANK . For $150 they refurbished mine. Nice job and they're as close as your nearest UPS or FedEx.
