Default Supercoupe V6 in a Mustang II?

Has anyone ever put one of the supercharged 3.8s in the MII, i can get one for 150 that runs but was t-boned big time and pretty much killed the car. It has the 5spd and only 72,000 miles on it.

It's not a direct bolt in, but the dimensions of the 3.8 are smaller than those of a 302 (though the supercharged version may have hood clearance issue) so I'm sure it could be done. Hard part would be mounting the thing to the framerails, if you can tackle that, the rest of it should be a cakewalk.

The idiot with the t-bird told me it was a supercoupe, but he put the bumpers on it to make it look like a s/c. The motor is only the 3.8 that made 140hp, oh and it has a rod knock. so the guy screwed me over. Ill stick the the 4banger for now.

american wrecking @ 1-718-815-7982 has part #000644010 whhich is a s/c 3.8 for 250.

my oldest son wants a hatchback II for his first car (i am so proud!!) so i am looking to buy him one and i am going to put an SHO 3.0 and a 5 speed.

my first car was a 74 mach one with a 3.8 so why would installing an s/c motor be difficult?

then it would be just like everyone else's...

ok seriously.. ever drive a SHO with the v-6? is an awsome motor. they are cheap, sound good, make decent hp, (my 95 sho put 190 to the rollers) and he is 13 and i think making him spend a couple of years fabricating and breaking his knuckles might make him repsect it a bit more. and if i help then when he is done with it i can put it in my stable!! (i am shooting for a nice expample from every generation)

Cool!
ok now i have seen some odd combos... and nothing runs out like a dodge. and i will admit i love the rear wheel drive celicas. but why? i have always imagined dodge engines were rather portly. what does a 360 longblock weigh? and is it dedication to the brand? or did you just have one lying around?

this is our 4th merkur. the third xr4. i told the wife if she buys me a rollerhoop for my b-day her car will ride it first... we'll see

i just had the 360 on hand,it was originally for my nephews 71 charger,he changed his mind cause Megan wanted to do her Supra....so i was slow at the shop and we decided to do it ...weight wise the car still sits level, and is a blast to drive....we done it for Megan to take to the car show,...
