I am working on a 1978 mustang cobra and I can't locate the fuse box!
any idea's where to look?

I used to have one, I think they were mounted on the drivers side, on the upper inside fire wall, or by the steering column Doug

I have a 78 and it is as far up the firewall as they could put it on the driver side.. taking out the driver side seat will make it easier.. I almost threw my back out changing a fuse..I hate designers..

I`m having a problem with the dash lights. There`s a short somewhere and of course thats the smallest fuse all the way at the top which is impossible to take out or replace from where the box sits. First I take the seat out then unbolt the gas pedal and let it hang out of the way then take the bolt out holding the outer plug on the firewall off and proceed to force the fusebox down to the floor wiring harness and all. Much easier to work with it there.

Now if I could just get my hands around the neck of the idiot engineer who put it there................
