The car is a 1978 Mustang Cobra II with a 2.3 and an Cruise-o-matic 3 speed (FMX) and i've seen the KC has the 8 inch rear end I was wonder what rear end my car has because I would like to swap out the gears and maybe add a LSD. Thanks.

The guy who i'm buying it from says it's stock so it must be.

some had 8 inch some had a 7 inch deal is the cover bolted on the back or is it smooth smooth is 8 inch rear cover type is smaller pinto type

Its an 8 inch. If there are bolts holding it together from the rear then its the 6 3/4" rear.
