i have a 88 mustang convertible lx with a 302 h.o it has a automatic transmission no overdrive the tag on the rear says it has 3.73,s im not happy with this its geared to low for every day driving running to high rpms i would like to change ratio. i heard 3.55 or 3.27,s are the way to go does anybody have any information on what ratio i should use thanks

welcome to the site,enjoy!!!! i suggest the 3:27 for everyday driving or better yet,get an aod trans if possible.

hi thanks for the info i don't want the gear ratio to be to high i would still like to get up and go im just concerned because i have 215-60-16 ,tires and rims i know the the rim size will increase the radio but i don't know if it will affect it that much let me know what you think thanks for the help
