Default 1974 Mustang V6 auto transmission problem

Hi.I need help for my 1974 v6 auto transmition.
Since my mechanic is off for summer i need to know how serius it may get this problem.
Normaly when i when i was stopping on some uphill road with drive or 1 or 2 selectet the car would not roll back even with the gas or
brake pedal not pressed, also with the same gear sellected on a
straight road the car would move forward if i would not push the
break pedal.
Now suddenly in the first case it rolls back and in the second does
not move at all.In the second case if i move the selector few times
sideways it starts moving a litlle. Also i feel when driving, loss of
that kick only in low rpm.Important is think is that reverse is working
perfectly.Checked fluid is ok. All that occurred after about a month
i had the car parked.I must say that this transmition has a history
of living me in the middle of the road 2 times in the past with only
the reverse working, but on those cases i had some signs that is
going to fail, like loss of power in all rpms but this time if i push
the gas hard the car is spinnig.Could it be the same thing again?
I'm afraid to drive it please if someone can help me i'll be
grateful.Thanks George

What RPM is the engine idling at?

I can't tell, the tach is not working, but i did increase the idle a bit and there was some slight improvement.Looks like theres nothing i can do by my self. Question is , am i in danger to be left in the middle of the road or can i keep driving it till my mechanic comes back from holidays?
