Default Wheel Backspacing

Im trying to figure out the minimum wheel backspacing to put 17x9 and 17x10 wheels on a 74 mustang II.... and what is minimum with spacers if need be.

It depends on what kind you have. and if u do it right they arent, the one on the pic here has 1/2" spacers on it for the turbines

I personally wouldn't put 17 inch wheels on a II it look really out of place that far up in the air.

Ive seen a few II's with 17" bullits on em and they look saweet... nice lowered stance wheels tucked just right, give the II a nice look

I don't see how you could get 10" rims on the car. Maybe 9" in the back but it would be real tight. I rolled the lips and the backs just rub going around a corner. I can't get a brake adjusting spoon inside to adjust the brakes 'cause the rim is too close to the leaf spring. I have 8" all the way around. Fronts don't rub at all. You would have to relocate the leaf springs, move the gas tank and minitub the rears for 10" rims.
