1978 Cobra II, Suspension Noise

i have a suspention problem. when im braking the front suspention makes popping noises, i can kind of feel it. i have no idea whats going on.

How old it the car? Could be time for new shocks and struts and bushings!

Don't get me wrong i know little about cars, but from waht i understand of the older fords they have a large problem with rusting under the car around the suspension in the front and back. i have ran across a couple 74's and 75's mustangs with the back dropped from the springs... hop under it and it might be a simple task of welding some steel mounts

Sounds like the strut rod bushings are worn. There is a rod attached to the lower suspension arm that goes back to a body mounted robber bushing. Replace the rubber bushings and get a new alignment.
