Question help with headers

New recruit, 1978 Mustang II, 306 roller on nitrous. Looking to upgrade to a 408 stroker. Anyone swapped out a 302 for a 351w and found headers to fit?

already been to that site. The problem is that there are no listings for headers to fit the 351w in a mustangII. They do have them for the pinto, which I believe might fit, but I can not get a definite answer from the manufacturers.

Your best bet is to contact Total Performance in Mt Clemens, MI or Crites Restorations in Ohio. A 351W will likely require removal of the engine mounts and use of an engine mounting plate in the front if you want to use headers. At one time, Total Performance had a kit to mount a Boss 302 into one.

Finally, after many inquiries and phone calls, I hit the jackpot. Hedman/Husler make headers for the 351W that fit requiring the use of a front motor plate. They will not be available for much longer, so if anyone wants them here are the part #s
hedman header # 85601 1-3/4 inch for 351w
husler motor plate # 56066
