Default Stronger alternative for sway bar endlinks

After breaking 4 endlinks on the 1" front swaybar, I decided to look for some thing stronger. I am not happy with the small diameter of the shaft and the obvious weak point at the beginning of the threads. New endlinks are available aftermarket for around $20 plus shipping. Still are made the same way. I decided to use 7/16 female heim joints with a grade 8 7/16 bolt to capture the bushings. I drilled the energy suspension bushings to 7/16 and the washers. I also drilled out the bracket on the A-arm to 7/16 and used a grade 8 bolt and nylock there. Had to make 4 spacers 1/4" thick one on each side of the ball on the heim joint. I put a jam nut on the bolt into the heim to lock it and keep it from backing out. The whole assembly is a little longer than stock but way stronger. I will see if I break these. I have $34.13 in this venture. Still less than buying stock style replacements.

That was a really smart idea. I would of never thought about that. I am still trying to come up with a bracket to move mine up almost 2 inches to clear the oil pan.
