Default Need help with 1975 2.3l starter removal

Hi. I have had this car for about 8 years now and never had to touch the starter and it looks like a pain to remove. It has a 2.3l in it. Has anyone removed one and whats the easiest way to do it?

On a 2.3 it should be too bad, try on a 302 easiest prob from the bottom.

No I already looked at getting it from the bottom it won't come out like that it looks like I will probably have to take some stuff apart and get it from the top. I was just looking for an easier way cause its a little cold up here in Baltimore right now.

Look at dropping out the motor mount in front of it? put a jack with a piece of wood on it under the oil pan.

If I remember correctly my Bro had to do that with his 2.3L 76 Ghia as well.

Yeah the Solenoids are pretty fragile from what I remember too. At least those are still found in Parts stores.
