can i hook u[p my new eletric fan to a toggle switch, and if so how do i run the wires?

You can use a toggle switch,thats how mine is in the Pace Car...Get a good quality heavy duty switch,run a hot wire from the battery with a fuse inline to the switch....run a wire from the switch to the fan...ground the fan wire ground to any good ground point.

Yes you can run your fan off a toggle. You can run the switch as a ground for the fan relay. Here is a diagram I just drew up to help you out.

cool diagram ^ either way will work fine.....a inline fuse is a fuse holder that you put inline with your positive wire.

Make sure that you us either one of the two and don't run a straight wire to the toggle switch.

Make sure you know how many amps the fan draws. I have a Taurus fan and it draws 70 amps on high. Had to go to a heavy duty relay and a huge fuse. You can get a kit at any auto parts store that has a temperature probe you stick in the radiator fins and it will turn the fan off and on according to the temperature you set it. Haden is one of the manufacturers. You can wire a toggle in to override the temp control.
