Default 1975 2.3L Hard to start when cold and bogs bad

Hi hopefully someone can help me. The car is a 1975 with a 2.3L and a holley 5200 carburetor. The car is hard to start cold and you have to spray starting fluid to get it running and when you get it running it wants to bog bad when hitting the gas.I looked at the accelerator pump thats not it,I tried to adjust the idle and mixtures but that didn't work but maybe I didn't mess with that enough and I checked the fuel bowl its getting gas in there. So I'm at my witts end here. Any ideas would be appreciated.Thanks.

Check to make sure that you are getting 6 to 9 psi of gas to the carb, check that the choke is working properly, make sure that your battery has enough cold cranking amps for the area that you live in, and rebuild the carb after those simple checks. It will take you all of 5 minutes.
