Post redoing upolstery

thought this should go in the tech section...sorry to the mod if it isnt. I was researching on how much it was going to cost me to have my seats redone and it astounded me so I started looking for alternatives and I found this web site for the do it yourselfers like me Auto Upholstery Instruction Auto Trim Video. Now I know this is a truck seat but all it is showing is the basics on how to do it but I thought it might be useful At least I am going to give it a shot (my mother in law sows)

One thing to look at is, what material you are going to use, depeneding on what material, you may need to use an industrial/automotive sewing machine.... it looks easy but take some practice to do it right, I took an Upholstery class in college for automotive and we started by making boat seat cushion covers (the main cover for the bottom cushion on a boat seat) we made door panels too, i redid my stang ones that was a pain in the ass ill tell u that

A nice alternative is to put fox body seats in your II. Alot of people say they are alot more comfortable and look a little better. You can get them for cheap and MustangII.net has tech on how to do it its not hard.
