A high-quality air impact wrench (SnapOn, AirCat, or Bluestreak) and a can of PB Blaster are going to be your BEST friends. The nuts on the U-bolts holding the rear end in are going to have 30+ years of rust and corrosion, you might end up cutting off the bolts with a die grinder and buying new Y-bolts (luckily, parts stores carry a wide assortment and you can buy the ones with the same bend and thickness and cut to fit, I recently did this when replacing the rear-end on my Chevy pickup). Everything else is pretty easy as long as you take notes as you dis-assemble everything and the new rear you buy doesn't give any major fitment hassles.
